A Better Life

A Better Life is a film in which an illegal-immigrant gardener in East Los Angeles struggles to keep his son away from gangs while avoiding immigration enforcement agents and searching for a stolen truck. The screenplay for A Better Life was written by Eric Eason based on a story by Roger Simon. The film was directed by Chris Weitz. A gardener in East L.A. struggles to keep his son away from gangs and immigration agents while traveling across town to perform landscaping work for the city’s wealthy landowners. A Better Life will be released in June 2011 by Summit Entertainment. This film is unusual among Hollywood productions in that it is set in a Hispanic community and features an almost entirely Hispanic cast.
