Earthquake Rattles East Coast

The east coast was hit with a 5.8 magnitude earthquake, strongest in 67 years. President Obama probably went into his bunker, while trying to tweet about the quake :D. Multiple aftershocks shook the east coast taking people out of their offices. The people at wall street finally got a breath of fresh air after staring a the falling stock numbers. People took it to their cell phones to talk about the earthquake, which resulted in flooding of the cell service. The earthquake centered in Virginia and was felt as far as Toronto. At least pollution isn't the only thing Americans are sharing with the Canadians. The Washington Monument was closed for hours after the earthquake because of cracks in the building, but was reopened within the afternoon.

The east coast earthquake has been a safe ride. No injuries were reported in the east coast. There were some minor building damages including Washington National Cathedral. One of the pinnacles of the Cathedral broke off.

Oh Yeah! Take the crib with you while you cross the street during an earthquake...

What a great idea! Hide under that chair while the world tumbles down on you...
